Gatherer-stitcher

A gatherer-stitcher lets you assemble notebooks 4 pages to be input flat, pitted in their midst and folded automatically by the machine. To add a new gatherer-stitche, you go to 3 menus:

  • characteristics
  • quantity
  • delivery

Characteristics

You go to the technical characteristics of the machine which breaks down into 5 categories.

General informations

They correspond to administrative informations:

  • her name
  • is it active in the calculation?
  • is it contrary to internal or do you use a subcontractor?

Open sizes

It corresponds in going size with 2 fields to fill:

  • height ( minimum et maximum) which corresponds to the width of the buckle
  • lenght (minimum et maximum) which corresponds to the depth of the buckle.

These 2 sizes are set in millimeters.

An option is available to determine if the size adjustment in included in the rate folding.

Paper weight

They are expressed in g/M2 also with 2 fields: the minimum and maximum weight that can pass on this machine.

Miscellaneous

These options on the machine :

  • number of gathering stations
  • the machine does it 3 knives in output? If yes, precise the brochure cut-off ( in millimeters)
  • 2 calculations:

soit au 1000 de cahiers de 4 pages c'est à dire: base du prix du 1000 X quantité X nombre de modèles de cahiers

soit au 1000 d'exemplaires assemblés c'est à dire: base du prix du 1000 X quantité.

Selling price

These pricing base include fixed costs and variable costs:

  • starting makeready wich corresponds to a fixed cost general
  • makeready per station ( by sections of 4 pages binding)
  • add makeready cost for 3- knives trimmer (if necessary)
  • standard price per 1000

Quantity

This screen allows you to make a variation of a standard price per 1000 according to quantities( per steps).

Each rule is applicable individually and the system takes into account the most advantageous.

WARNING: If you set :

< à 2000 runs then variations -10%

< à 3000 runs then variations -5%

In this case, for a quantity of 1000, the system will take a variation - 10%.

The rules are put into competition in their field of validity. If both rules are checked, the most advantageous being chosen.

Delivery

This pop up allows you to pricing, if the machine is externally (from a subcontractor), the cost of transport return from the printer to the subcontractor.

There are 3 ways to price:

  • with a fixed cost
  • with a proportional cost per kg
  • with a minimum outright cost
